The 9 second clutch!!!
After trying all the other clutch options in the market James Reeves came to us to find a clutch that would stay together and help him break into the 9 second club. This clutch along with the Feramic "Race Only" pads allowed him to do just that!!
TU "Ultimate" Performance 4-Puck Ceramic Stage IV (Black) Race Clutch kits are made exclusively for us and to our unique specifications. Most other clutch shops prefer to only upgrade the disk leaving you with a stock pressure plate. They will not go the extra mile that we do because they simply fail to acknowledge the true potential of these vehicles.
Clutch Basics:
There are a few ways to enhance the performance of a clutch. One way is to increase the clamp load force by modifying the pressure plate. The other is by upgrading the disk material to increase the dynamic coefficient of friction. We combine the high torque capacity of our Stage IV (Black) modified pressure plates with the aggressive 4-Puck ceramic disk to bring you a clutch that will support well over 450 Ft Lbs of Torque (232mm Disk)while still providing extended disk life. The components and materials used in the construction of our performance clutch kits were chosen to exceed the needs of a true Race Only Turbo-Dodge vehicle.
How do TU 4-Puck Ceramic clutch kits differ from our competitors:
· Retain Stock pedal feel
· Enhanced Torque Capacity by modifying PP fulcrum point
· Coefficient of friction for 4-puck disks is approximately 50% higher then Organic disks
· TU ceramic disk pucks are thicker then industry standard providing longer clutch life
· TU Black PP ceramic 4-puck disks are available in two sizes. For an additional 10% holding power go with the larger 232mm version
Our Black Pressure Plates are unique for many different reasons. First of all we change the pivot point to enhance clamping load force without increasing pedal pressure. This process provides maximum torque load capacity while also providing a smoother clutch engagement with minimal chatter or shudder. TU does something else that most others don’t want to do. The wearable portion of our disks is 40% thicker then the industry standard. We do this to enhance clutch life and it’s why you cannot mix TU clutch kit pressure plates and disks with other brands. With proper break-in the thicker ceramic puck material will prolong the life of your clutch so you can spend more time behind the wheel of your TD vehicle rather then under it replacing parts. Our Ceramic Race clutches can be used in both Street and Strip applications with regular tires or slicks. WARNING: Our 4-Puck Race clutches are very grabby and they will provide you with more of an "On-Off" feel compared to our other clutches. So, if you are looking for a clutch that will have your dashboard bobblehead flying into the backseat with very little effort then you have found the right one.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For this clutch to work properly it is necessary to confirm that your input shaft bearing is not worn and is within factory tolerances. Changing the pivot point of the pressure plate reduces plate lift so it is VERY important that you minimize disk wobble. This is a simple procedure.
