This service includes a quality performance rebuild of your choice of manual transmissions. We replace all wear items including bearings, seals, synchros, shift fork pads, etc. All tolerances and pre-loads are verified and adjusted.

NOTE: The OBX LSD is a good product and carries a Lifetime Warranty. However, it is a low cost alternative for the more expensive Quaife unit. Due to the lower cost the greatest care is not always taken in the OBX LSD assembly.

We strongly recommend that you allow TU to service the OBX unit prior to installation. Our LSD service includes a complete disassembly, inspection and cleaning of the unit. We remove flash and other debris that is many times left behind. All belleville spring washers are replaced with upgraded pieces. We re-tap all holes and replace the original bolts with new versions that are the maximum allowable length. All bolts are then torqued to manufacturers specifications. The original bolts and belleville washers are returned to the customer.

Important Note about the Gear Sets-
The OBX LSD units are a direct fit for the A-520 and A-523 transmissions.
The A-520 ring gear and intermediate shaft are required when installing these units in the 1987 and 1988 A-555 transmissions.
The A-523 ring gear and intermediate shaft are required when installing in these units in the 1989 and up A-555 and A568 transmissions. One exception to this is the A-555 transmission used in the 1989 MiniVan which uses the 1987/1988 internals and requires the 520 gear/shaft set.
