Most heater hoses are made up of an inner and an outer hose seperated by braided nylon. When subjected to heat the nylon will constrict around the inner hose reducing the gravitational flow of oil out of the turbo bearing housing. This will eventually cause the bearing housing to fill with oil and become pressurized. Turbo seals are not designed to hold back pressure so they will leak oil into the compressor housing and turbine housing. Many people assume it's the turbo only to send it out to be rebuilt and still be left with the same problem. Don't let this happen to you. If you are using any other hose then a factory (orange) silicon or aftermarket silicon it's time for a change. NEVER use anything but a heat resistant silicon hose for this application. At this price it just doesn't make sense not to use one.
