For those of you who want to take it to the next level, Garrett's Dual Ball Bearing GT35R Turbo will get you there. This unit includes a T3 style inlet flange with 4 bolt T31 style exit. Large 60- 1 style compressor housing with 4.00 inlet and 2.50" outlet. The GT35R turbo will provide enough airflow to support 600HP.

When shopping for a turbo do you find yourself looking for that extra edge of performance that will keep you ahead of the competition? Are you tired of the laggy, older technology T3/T4 "Tractor" turbos that were designed back when you were still wetting your pants? Then TU has what you are looking for. We have been working with the GT-Series Dual Ball Bearing turbos since their introduction by Garrett several years ago. TU was the only TD vendor who realized the potential of these turbos and invested in bringing them to this niche market in a simple bolt-on Chrysler trim. Through the years we have tested these state-of-the-art turbos in Road Racing, Drag Racing and street applications and they have exceeded all of our expectations. This did not come as a surprise to us though. These are the same turbos used in CART racing series, which were designed specifically for competition applications, not to pull hay across some farmer's field. Now, TU can help you take full advantage of the same new technology that professional race teams are using today, but at an affordable price.

Garrett's modern GT-Series compressor and turbine wheel aerodynamics push the state-of-the-art limit for stage efficiency and flow range. Compared to older "Tractor" designs, the equivalent modern efficient versions of today are much smaller. This boils down to reduced weight/inertia providing quicker spool up and significantly less turbo lag. Coupling this with the dual ball bearing system will provide you with outstanding throttle response that has to be driven to be believed.

The advantages of DBB over traditional journal bearings include:

Turbos spool up 15% faster- Exceptionally crisp and strong throttle response translates to better drivability and acceleration. Instant boost response between shifts!

Reduced oil flow- Less chance for seal leakage. Ball Bearings are more tolerant of marginal lube conditions diminishing the possibility of turbocharger failures.

Improved Rotor dynamics and Durability- DBB cartridge provides improved damping and control over shaft motion allowing enhanced reliability for both everyday and extreme driving conditions. Also eliminates the need for thrust bearing. This may well be the last turbo you will ever need to buy.

True Dual Ball Bearing center- Turbine shaft and compressor wheel are entirely supported by the ball bearings maximizing efficiency, performance and durability. Don't be fooled by the single ball bearing products being offered in the market today. They usually come with older technology wheel designs and only half a reduction in bearing drag.

Turbo Unleashed offers the Garrett GT-35 Dual Ball Bearing Turbo in a 60-1 and the unique 4 inch GT "Shrouded" compressor housing configuration with your choice of turbine housing style and A/R. Depending on the configuration you choose, this turbo can be made to fit both 8-valve and 16-valve Chrysler vehicles. Keep in mind that since most hybrid turbos are "custom" fits some modifications may be required to complete the installation of your TrannyBuster GT DBB Garrett turbo. Due to the many different applications for these turbos and the fact that they are all "custom fit", wastegate actuators and swingvalve housings are available as options. For a true bolt on upgrade add our Stainless Steel Hybrid Header Kit. Our SS Hybrid header allows the bolt in installation of any of our TrannyBuster turbos eliminating the need for customization or fabrication.
